Helena “Lena” Lou Bevans, age 75, of Lowell, passed hand and hand with her husband Bruce by her side April 21, 2024. Helena was born July 22, 1948. She retired from Amway. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Kathleen Chase; and brother John Chase. Helena is survived by her sister Melissa Decatur; brothers, William Chase, Larry Chase; daughters, Katie Friar, Lisa (Tait) Fernstrum, Jessica Bevans; son Aiden Bevans; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is remembered for her full of life laughter. Helena could light up a room with her beautiful smile. She enjoyed spending time in her garden. Helena loved taking her grandchildren to the dollar store. The grandkids called her pajama grandma. An active member of A. A. for 21 years. Family will meet with friends and relatives on Friday, May 3, 2024, at Roth-Gerst Funeral Home, 305 N Hudson, Lowell, MI 49331, from 5-8pm, where family and loved ones will gather to share stories, laughter and fond memories of a life well-lived. Memorial funeral services will be held at 6pm. Rev. Ken Ford officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to Aiden Bevans scholarship fund.
