In addition to the Grand Rapids Opera, she worked at The Grand Rapids Press before she was married, then went on to work retail at Disselkoen Jewelry Store, as an Events Coordinator for the Amway Grand Plaza, and as a personal buyer for women at Hudson’s and Leigh’s. Muriel also sang in the Grand Rapids Symphonic Choir and in her church choir at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, where she and her husband were members.
Muriel was known for her red hair and always looked like a million bucks. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She will be missed by all who knew her.
