Michael J. Murphy

Michael Jo Murphy, age 69 of Ada, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 25, 2016 surrounded by his family at Spectrum Butterworth.  He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Jean Murphy. He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 45 years Nancy; daughters Molly (Mark Duprey) Murphy, Katy (Joe) Levan; grandchildren Casey, Riley, J.P., Maggie, Luke, Andrew; sister Patti (Ivan) Wolterstorff; brother, Kevin (Rosemary) Murphy. Mike was 1965 graduate of Catholic Central. He retired from insurance sales. Most recently employed at Pfeiffer Lincoln Inc. Visitaton will be Tuesday 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 2750 Burton St SE, Grand Rapids. Msgr. Ernest Schneider presiding.
