Lynn Hillard Sr.

Lynn Hillard Sr., age 76 of Lowell, passed away Monday, September 14, 2020. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Joanne Hillard; and daughter, Shawn Batchelor. He is survived by his children, Tami (Mike) Watts, Lynn Hillard Jr , Jennifer (James) Gauw; son-in-law, Mark Batchelor; sister, Wendy (Keith) Kimmel; grandchildren, Britney (Matt) Altoft, Matthew Batchelor, Collin Watts, Brenden Watts, Kaiya Hillard, Abby Wingler, Dawson Hillard, Jax Hillard, Cameron VanEnk, Jacob VanEnk, Morgan VanEnk, Kayla Gauw; great-grandchildren, McKenna Altoft, Marlee Altoft, Claire VanEnk, Arie VanEnk, Gabriela VanEnk; and nieces, Aimee and Amanda. Lynn proudly served as a member of the United States Marine Corps, and had a love for 50’s music, traveling and his country. He will be remembered as the larger-than-life patriarch of his family. His charm and kindness brought family and friends together. Lynn adored his family and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a hardworking man, and taught his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren many lifelong skills, among other things. Private funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Roth-Gerst Chapel, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell, MI. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

  1. I dont know what I will do without my grandfather in my life. He was always the shoulder to lean on when I needed help. He always stood of for me and was always in my corner when I needed him. RIP poppa, youre going to be dearly missed.

  6. My heart literally broke in two. You were a great man and loved by my mom(Fran Orr), my daughters and myself. You spoiled Alexis rotten and she still has to eat her sandwiches with th he crust off. Thank you for being a part of our lives. We love you and miss you terribly.
