Judy Ann Gorman, age 75 of Ada, passed away Friday, April 28, 2023, with family by her side. Her love of Jesus was instilled in her as a graduate of Catholic Central High School and was strengthened through her adult life where she regularly attended St. Roberts for Sunday Mass and participated in Bible Studies with friends. While her children were young, she was a dedicated homemaker that attended her children’s activities, made sure a home cooked dinner was on the table, and every holiday was a well decorated occasion. Judy’s level of creativity was incredible. She was an avid knitter, embroiderer, stamp artist, jewelry maker, and even a well renowned balloon artist! For many years, Judy worked alongside her mother at Balloons or Bust where she stunned many locally and nationally with structures and designs that she would envision and then bring to life with balloons. Judy was also an avid camper throughout her life, enjoying time with family and friends at Lincoln Lake early on and in Grand Haven State Park in more recent years. As Judy aged, she enjoyed passing time watching the birds and drinking a nice hot cup of coffee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fritz and Sara Steketee; father, Edward Weber; and former husband, David Gorman. Judy is survived by her children, Steve (Stefanie) Gorman of Franklin, TN, Heather (Chad) Coyle of Rockford, MI, Chris (Melissa) Gorman of East Grand Rapids, MI, Alicia (Troy) Ziel of Apison, TN; grandchildren, Tayler Sedlecky, Ashley Gorman, Hope Gorman, Faith Gorman, Ellie Coyle, Jenna Coyle, Sam Coyle, Kate Coyle, Jessie Coyle, Tupper Gorman, Fletcher Gorman, Rowan Ziel, Harper Ziel, and Marley Ziel.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11am on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at St. Robert of Newminster Parish Marian Chapel (please use entrance A to church chapel), 6477 Ada Dr SE, Ada, MI 49301, with visitation one hour prior. Memorial contributions in Judy’s honor may be directed to St. Robert of Newminster Parish.
