Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Jacqueline Marie Moran, affectionately known as Jackie or Grammy, peacefully entered fully into the presence of the Lord on March 21st, 2024, at the age of 73.  With an indomitable spirit, she devoted her life to her family, selflessly placing the needs of others before her own. Jackie was an accomplished ceramic business owner for over 30 years.  Taking many under her wings to teach them the business and helping them find success.  She was an extremely talented artist. Upon retirement, Jackie served as a Receiver for Meijer for more than 10 years.  You never found her sitting still; she never let her age hold her back from doing things she loved or that needed to be done.  If there was a will there was always a way in her mind.

Jackie found immense joy in her family, with countless pool parties (almost every weekend in the summer) with music, an abundance of food and great conversation.  Her love and compassion extended to all those who knew her.  The house was always open to anyone in need, often taking in those who had fallen on hard times or needed a hand up.  She loved the holidays, Christmas being her favorite because it gave her an extra excuse to spoil her family, which she did very well. Jackie was a great cook, leaving many family recipes and traditions to be carried on by her family.  She loved gardening and had over 90 house plants; truly a green thumb that was passed on to a select few.

Upon her cancer diagnosis Jackie solidified her relationship with Jesus.  She knew what happens after death and knew her soul would ascend to heaven.

John 14:2-3 reads, “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, George and Norma McNutt; and sister, Lynda Crawford.  She is survived by her husband, William Moran; children, Lisa (Gerard) LaPonsie, Julie Poole, TeeJay (Melissa) Moran; grandchildren, Anthony (Bri) Hall, Amanda LaPonsie (Sean Wellman), Nicholas (Sarah) LaPonsie, Tyler Melton, McKenzie Melton, Madilynn Moran, Nolan Moran and Amelia Moran; great grandchildren, Bella McAnany, Theo Hall, and Hazel Wellman; sisters, Connie (Ort) Hobert, Georgia (Bill) Tinkler; brother, William (Linda) McNutt; and many nieces and nephews.

Jackie leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion.   Her memory will forever be cherished by all who knew her.  In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held, a celebration of life will be planned in the coming weeks.
