ELLEN F. FILL

Ellen Fill, born March 12, 1923 passed away Monday, September 29, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Fill Sr. She is survived by her children, Brenda (Mike) Jones, Carrie (Robert) Wardlow, Larry (Judy) Fill Jr.; grandchildren, Marc (Anne) Collins, Henry Wardlow, Stacey, Jason (Emily) Fill; great grandchildren, Morgan, Sophie and James Collins, Caroline and Hudson Fill. For many years Ellen worked with her husband, the owner of Henry Smith Floral and Gift and later at their Estate Sales service. She was active in Peninsula Chapter #65 Eastern Star and received a life membership of 35 years. Ellen volunteered for the Grand Rapids Symphony, Quarter Notables, and the Junior Board of Blodgett Hospital. She was a member of Park Congregational Church where she took pride in arranging the flowers on the alter for Sunday service for many years. A private service for family will be held at Graceland Mausoleum. Rev. Maurice Fetty officiating. The family has designated Home for the Blind, Salvation Army, or American Red Cross for memorial contributions.
