Dr. Charles Morrill, age 86, of Ada, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2019. He was preceded in death by his wife Donna and his brothers Dr. Keith Morrill and Robert Morrill. Charles is survived by his children, Dr. Jeff (Alice) Morrill of Grand Rapids, MI, Sue (Rod) Bonino-Wright, DVM of Oxford, MI and Brian (Jill) Morrill of East Grand Rapids; ten grandchildren, one great granddaughter and special friend Susan Gleacher. The family will greet friends and relatives on Sunday, December 29, 2019 from 1-4 PM at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Road SE, Grand Rapids.

Chuck was (and still is) a true mentor for me. There was so much wisdom in his “mumbling speech”. He like no other physician colleague I had met to that point was so aware of what he knew but more aware what he did not know so was willing to seek insights from those around him. When he delegated work or more specifically when he assigned me roles in the Family Practice Residency he trusted this newbie with free rein of the curriculum I was now in charge of. What a great way to silently say “I trust you” . He invited change and I have tried to model this attitude. Take care Chuck. You continue to have influence on my life.
