STAGARS – Alma Stagars age 97 of Grand Rapids died November 2 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband Janis. She is survived by her daughter Ausma (George) Davis of Grand Rapids; grandchildren Laura Davis Edvins (Martha) Davis; great grandchildren James Alexander and Lauren Davis; also other relatives in Latvia and Canada. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. at the O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel 3980 Cascade Rd. SE Rev. Ilze Larsen of the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church 1780 Knapp St. NE Grand Rapids MI 49505.
