Wilma Jean Gerred-Sinke, age 96 of Lowell, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Tuesday morning, March 28, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Edna Fegan; first husband, Irvan Gerred (2002), second husband, Leonard Sinke (2016); daughter, Dianna Lee (1949-3 days old); brother, Charlie Fegan; and sister, Luella Griffith. She is survived by her daughter, Charlene Sherry (Phillip) Johnson of Lowell; grandchildren, Randy (Cheryl) Johnson of Lowell, Diane (Jesse) Davidson of Lowell, Danielle (Luke) Davidson of Lowell; brothers, Robert (Lila) Fegan of Prescott, Kyle (Diane) Lomeson of Gains; sister, Mary Lee (Robert) Welock of Flint; sister-in-law, Carolyn Fegan of Albuquerque, NM; step-daughter, Susie Sinke (Eberhard) Roder; 8 grandchildren, Austin and Katlyn Johnson, Drew, Leah, and Max Davidson, Jacob, Emilyn, and Kayla Davidson; and 2 step-grandchildren, Leni Sinke and Franz Roder.  Wilma was born and raised in Prescott, MI and graduated from Prescott High School in 1944. She lived there until she met Irvan Gerred then moved to Evart, MI and resided there for 25 years. At that time, she went to nursing school to become an LPN at age 40. Wilma went back to school to be an RN where she worked at Reed City Hospital for 20 years, retiring after the death of Irvan. She decided to then move to Lowell to be closer to her daughter and met Leonard Sinke who she married at the age of 80. They lived in Lowell, spending the winter months in Florida. She was passionate about traveling, working in church activities, sewing, and her quilting was loved by everyone. She spent her last 3 years at Maple Ridge Manor in Lowell where she was a social butterfly and enjoyed every activity they offered. She loved living at Maple Ridge and had many friends. They made her last few years very enjoyable, up until her passing after a short stay at Blodgett Hospital. We would like to thank Maple Ridge Manor for the excellent care given to our mom and grandma. Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Monday, April 10, 2023, at Roth-Gerst Chapel, 305 N. Hudson St., Lowell, MI 49331, with visitation one hour prior. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery, in Evart, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to Gideon’s International, P.O.   2. It sounds like Wilma had a wonderful full life. I remember her from my Evart days and she was a lovely person. She leaves her family with many lovely memories

  3. So sorry for your loss. I worked with Wilma at Reed City Hospital a long time ago. I was just thinking about her a few days ago and wondered how she was doing and if she was still with us. She was very kind, friendly and she loved life. Always enjoyed working with her!!

  5. She was, always, the center of family gatherings. She will be missed so greatly by her brother, Robert, as well as me, Lila. Until we all join her with Jesus.

  7. Sherry and Phil I’m so sorry for your loss. She is enjoying Easter with her Lord and Savior. Loved Wilma’s passion for sewing. She loved it and made some beautiful things. She loved the Lord and enjoyed life.
