Bill Brown, age 91 of Grand Rapids, died Thursday, March 5, 2015. He is survived by his dear wife, Margaret and their loving children Douglas (Patty), Marian (John) Korreck, Terri (Joseph) Hakeem and Kathy (Michael) Kohl, as well as 12 beloved grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Also surviving are his brother Charles of Cincinnati, sister-in-law Mary Hennessey, and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Bill was preceded in death by an infant son, Donald and grandson, Bill. A veteran of World War II, he served as a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps, and was a member of American Legion and Knights of Columbus. Bill was a graduate of Notre Dame (class of 1949) and a member of the Notre Dame Club of Grand Rapids. He retired from Lear Siegler following a career of 35 years. He served as a Eucharistic minister at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for over 30 years. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1935 Plymouth Ave. S.E., Grand Rapids. Rev. Troy Nevins presiding. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 5-8:00 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 5:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids.
