Walter Pipp

PIPP – Walter Pipp age 74 of Grand Rapids died February 18 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Nora Pipp and brother Ben. He is survived by his brother Thomas Pipp of FL; sister Dorothy Gibler of Chicago; several nieces and nephews. Wally graduated from MSU with a Masters Degree in Social Work and was an avid baseball and sports fan. His father Wally was replaced by Lou Gehrig in 1925 with the New York Yankees. He volunteered a lot of his time to the Red Cross and March of Dimes. A Memorial Mass will be offered February 28 at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church 1449 Wilcox Park Dr. SE Rev. James Chelich and Rev. Thomas Pipp Jr. S.J., presiding. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to the service at church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to In-House Hospice 4403 Cascade Rd. SE Grand Rapids MI 49546 or for masses in memory of Wally.
