Vergie Taylor Guiles

Vergie Taylor Guiles, age 85, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018, in Grand Rapids. Vergie is survived by Paul, her husband of 61 years; her sons, Archiell “Steve” (Debra) Guiles and Michiell (fiance, Nancy K. Thiede) Guiles; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and brother, James (Hettie) Taylor. Vergie was a teacher for 40 years, finishing her career working 30+ years for the Forest Hills School District. Vergie was an avid runner, having run the River Bank Run 10 years in a row. She was very active, enjoyed Tae Kwon Do and skied with the family. A private service was held by the family. In liew of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Vergie’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101.
