VELTA VIKTORIJA ASNIS

Velta Viktorija Asnis, age 92 of Grand Rapids, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband Janis. She is survived by her friends Irene Mednis, Inta Mednis, Cary Childres, John (Tricia) Mednis, Karlis (Becky) Mednis, and Anne (Dennis) Leggett. Velta loved flower gardening. She was a life member of the Latvian Daugavas Vanagu organization of Grand Rapids and an active member of the Latvian Lutheran Church. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. at the Evangelical Lutheran Latvian Church of Grand Rapids, with visitation one hour prior at the church. Rev. Ilze Larsen, officiating. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Evangelical Lutheran Latvian Church of Grand Rapids, 1780 Knapp St. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505.
