Timothy (Tim) Paul Hollern, age 44, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11, 2020, surrounded by his loving family, his friends, and the love and support from the Forest Hills, Lowell, Catholic Central, and Wyoming communities. Tim valiantly fought stage 4 colon cancer since his diagnosis in September 2011. Tim is preceded in death by his father, Deacon Dale Hollern. He worked in the Forest Hills school district for 20 years as a teacher, coach, athletic director, and most recently as an assistant principal at Forest Hills Eastern High School, as well as, principal of Goodwillie Environmental School. Over the years, Tim loved coaching his son T.J. in football and baseball and made many lifelong friends. He loved working and serving his school and the communities in which he was involved. Tim, a devoted family man, will always be remembered as a kind, compassionate, caring person with a great sense of humor. The Hollern family is grateful for the Team Tim community, and the compassionate and caring nurses and doctors who loved, supported, and prayed for him. We are so deeply saddened to hear about Tim. Your family will continue to be in our prayers!
I am happy that I was able to help coach TJ and have Emma in class. It gave me the great opportunity to meet Tim. He was a wonderful man and father that was easy to see in how his children conducted themselves. They were chips off the old block. Pleasant, fun, and hard working habits that were no doubt passed on through the family. He will be dearly missed. I e appreciate God bringing Tim and his family into our lives!
What an amazing person Tim Hollern was…his legacy will live on forever by the many lives he impacted. He was a special person and I feel blessed that our paths crossed.
You were truly an angel on earth and deeply loved by all of your family, friends and community. I became friends with his sister Amy when we were 5 years old and remember when Timmy was born. The entire family always made me feel like on of their children and the house was always filled with love and laughter. Tim you are going to be missed and may you continue to rest in Paradise. Team Tim is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen. For so many people to rally around him and Alicia, Emma, TJ and Ally is truly unforgettable.

We are so saddened by Tim’s passing. He was truly a great guy who touched all he came into contact with. The Hollern Family is in our daily prayers.
On a beautifully sunny February afternoon, before we knew what was headed our way, I had lunch with my former ParaEducator at Sweet Seasons. I was inspired by the laughter and joy coming from the Hollern family table next to us. I joked with the kids about them “treating” … they smirked, but Tim laughed out loud! Tim taught his family how to live and experience joy in spite adversity. May God hold the family tightly, and may his joy be ever present in their lives! ❤️
We are sad that Tim is no longer on this earth but rejoice in his reuniting with his dad and the glorious entry into heaven. Continuing to pray for your wonderful family ❤️

We send our love and prayers to each member of the Hollern family. Our family has had a multitude of connections with them through the years, beginning with Dale being our six sons’ principal at Catholic Central down to our son, Tom, being Tim’s football coach there. Each of our boys had some relationship with the Hollern boys and their wives through the years. Finally, Steve worked closely with Tim in the Forest Hills Schools. We know that when Tim was called HOME, the Lord undoubtedly said to him “Well done, good and faithful servant.” MAY YOU ALL FIND PEACE AS YOU THINK OF HIM WITH HIS LORD. BLESSINGS! Mary and Bill Passinault and Family
