THOMAS DALE BOERSMA

Thomas Dale Boersma, age 62 of Lowell, went to be with Jesus Friday, December 13, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jo; children, Ryan Boersma (Hillary Kurtz), Jamie (Jill) Boersma, Missy Boersma, Cori Boersma, Lynn (Aaron) Glupker, father and mother-in-law, Donald and Jessica Oppewal; brothers, Jack (Loie) Boersma, Uncle Jim Boersma, Russ (Mary) Boersma, Dale (Sue) Boersma; grandchildren, Renee, Kyra, Katelyn, Mikayla and Levi. Tom was a volunteer firefighter for Cascade Township, past fire chief of Cascade Fire Department, electrical inspector, avid hunter fisherman and sportsman. He was a real “MacGyver”, Jack of all trades, enjoyed playing guitar and singing in the choir, was a talented woodworker, and mostly loved spending time with family and friends at the cabin in White Cloud with the “underwear gang”. Funeral service will be held Tuesday 11:00 a.m. at Ada Christian Reformed Church, 7152 Bradfield S.E., Ada with Pastor Bruce Vaandrager officiating. Private internment Cascade Cemetery. Visitation Monday 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Road S.E., Grand Rapids.
