Terry Philip Sasso, a kind and gentle soul, 57, died peacefully and in Christ, Tuesday, July 18, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents Philip and Virginia “Ginny” Sasso; his brother Kim; great niece Isabella; his in-laws Gordon and Barb McIntyre. Left to CHERISH his memory and celebrate his life on earth and eternally with Jesus is his wife of 37 years, Cindy (McIntyre); son Joshua; grandsons Nathen and Caiden; brothers Rick (Karen) Sasso, Paul (Jonell) Sasso; sisters and brothers-in-law Pam (Jack) Skinner, Mike (Jayne) McIntyre; Aunt Delores; a wonderful extended family of nieces and nephews, cousins and incredible friends-too many to name but you know who you are. He loved Jesus Christ his savior, his family, Pepsi, all music, drumming, fishing, westerns, Michigan football, his St. Matthew family and a great steak with béarnaise. Terry was a Lifetime Achievement member of Grand Rapids Association of Realtors and enjoyed serving on the Professional Standards Committee. Visitation will be Friday 5-7:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids, MI 49546, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral Service will be held Saturday 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 5125 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids. Rev. Robert Appold officiating. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Terry cared very much about the homeless population in Grand Rapids.
