Tamsen J. Blackwel

Tamsen J. Blackwell, of Roanoke, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016, after a two-year fight with ALS. She is survived by her husband, Dr. James Blackwell, her two sons, Ryan and Case, and her siblings, Charles (Elida) Miller, Wendy Southwell, Hollis (Richard) Crumback, Shannon (Paul) Parnofiello, and Mark Miller. Tamsen was a beloved mother, a nurse, an activist in community and charity initiatives, and a woman whose creativity, wit and compassion brought joy to those who knew her. She will be dearly missed. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 6-8 p.m. at Roth-Gerst Chapel, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell, Mich. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 12:00 p.m. at Roth-Gerst Chapel.
