Roy E. Rood Sr.

Roy E. Rood, Sr., age 79 of Lowell, went to meet his Lord and Savior on July 11, 2013. He is survived by his wife Shirley (Powers); children Becky (John) Trierweiler of Saranac, Carol (Barry) Dyer of Elma, New York, Lee Rood of Saranac, Roy Rood Jr. of Saranac, Burton Rood of Lowell; sisters Margaret Milanowski, Edris Sullivan; 20 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law Calvin (Kay) Powers, Sue Powers, Barb Manley; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Burton and Mina (Patterson) Rood; daughter Theresa Ogden; grandson Ryan Rood; brothers Robert and Chuck Rood; sisters Esther Schneider, Eva Allen, Catherine Brown, Anna Eucher, Christina Kerner and Ruth McIntyre. A funeral service will be held Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Roth-Gerst Chapel, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell, Michigan. There will be visitation one hour prior to the service. Mike Zylstra officiating.
