Rosalie K. Underwood

Rosalie K. Underwood, age 94 of Grand Rapids, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband Milton, son Milton III, and granddaughter, Rebecca Underwood. She is survived by her sons, Melvin (Iris), Miles (Mary), Mark; daughter, Mary Dibble; grandchildren, Kelly (Steve) Rozmus, Ruth (Scott) Michalski, Meagan (Jim) Elliott, Miles II, Matthew, Becca (Tyler Boik), Stacey (David Ruperd), Michael; great grandchildren, Amulen Rozmus, Maggie and Jayna Elliott; sister-in-law, Gracie Kishalonis; also many nieces and nephews. Rosalie graduated from Detroit Business Institute Medical Assistant Program. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle for 52 years. She greatly enjoyed the hobby of ceramics for many years. Christmas was special to her and she took delight in making and sending very special greeting cards. Rosalie was an extremely generous woman who cherished her grandchildren greatly. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle, 1449 Wilcox Park Dr. S.E., Grand Rapids. Rev. James A. Chelich presiding. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation Monday 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Thomas Educational Foundation.
