Robert Henry Bush, age 78 of Cascade, passed away Saturday, February
24, 2018. He was born in Holland, Michigan on April 30, 1939 to the
late Rollin and Dorothy (Platte) Bush. He is survived by his loving wife
of 56 years Linda; five children David (Elizabeth) Bush, Steven (Jill)
Bush, Nancy (Michael) Doss, Gregory Bush, Timothy Bush; seven
grandchildren Zachary and Alexandria Bush, Lauren and Jonathan
Doss, Ashley, Austin and Andrew Bush; two great granddaughters
Avery and Mason. Bob graduated from Holland High School. He
attended Ferris State University and was elected Speaker of the Senate
and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. He graduated with a
degree in Business Administration. During his working years, Bob
owned and operated Woodland International Trucks Inc. in Grand
Rapids, Michigan for thirty five years with additional dealerships in
Muskegon, Michigan and Marion, Michigan. He served as president of
the Michigan Truck Association (MTA) and a member of Michigan
International Truck Dealers Association (MITDA). His first retirement
was short lived. He spent an additional 13 1/2
years working for Home Depot. For his helpful ways at Home Depot, he
received many service awards and letters of accommodation from
satisfied customers who were very happy with their purchases, projects
and friendly advice they received from Bob. One of Bob’s highest
priorities was his family! He went out of his way to make everyone’s life
easier, taking time to drop what he was doing to talk, advise or just
listen. He was kind, caring and always had a smile on his face. He
turned all situations into something positive. Bob had many interests: he
enjoyed woodworking and was a master at fixing things. He was an avid
outdoorsman. He enjoyed boating on Lake Michigan, golfing, fishing,
deer and turkey hunting. Bob and Linda made many special memories
with their travels throughout the country and abroad. The family wishes
to thank Dr. Maria Hassan, Dr. Joel Phillips and Dr. Stuart Vander
Heide for their incite, compassion and integrity. Also, many thanks to
the wonderful caring nursing staff at Heartwood Lodge in Spring Lake,
Michigan. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 28, 2-4:00 p.m. and
