Richard Martin Berry, age 97, of Grand Rapids (formerly of Chicago), passed away on August 20, 2019. He was a hard worker who was deeply committed to his family. Dick lived in Grand Rapids for the last 10 years of his life. He was a World War II Army Veteran. Dick was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Lyke Berry (2009). He is survived by his children John (Julie) Berry, Colleen (John) Boresta, Richard (Theresa ) Berry, and Lila (Braden) Brown; his grandchildren Kevin Berry, Thomas Berry, Molly Berry, Emily Schaefer, Nicholas Schaefer, Elizabeth Spain, Zoe Brown, Samuel Brown, and his great-granddaughter Delaney Jo Spain. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 11 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2275 Diamond Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505, Rev. George Darling presiding.
