Richard Douglas Kruizenga

RICHARD “DICK” D. KRUIZENGA JR., age 60 of Ada, passed away peacefully with his family at his side Friday, July 10, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents Dick and Dorthy Kruizenga. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Jean; children, Mitch (Jennifer), Erin (Tim) Gauthier; and grandson, Pierce Kruizenga; sisters, Diane DeZwaan, Donna (Bernie) Boelema, Dorrie (Dan) Szymczak; sister and brother-in-law, Janet (Dennis) Ricord. Dick retired from Steelcase after 25 years, and with his respect for nature had a great appreciation for Goodwillie Environmental School. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4201 Burlingame Ave. SW, Wyoming. Pastor Stephen P. Schamber officiating. Interment Ada Township Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE, Grand Rapids, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church Lady’s Guild.
