She took great pride in taking care of her family and her best days were spent planning and cooking for holidays, birthdays and family get togethers. She gladly opened her home to all. A really good day consisted of lots of food, family and fun, and always featured her laughing heart, sharp wit and contagious charm. Other interests included shopping trips with the girls, visiting her favorite restaurants, watching FOX News, a University of Michigan sporting event, collecting figurines and spreading good luck with her Family Elephants. Founded in her Catholic faith, Peggy met every challenge head on with courage, positivity and determination. Her faith-based strength moved mountains and belied her size.  She was the definition of class and a miracle to all who knew her.  Visitation will be Sunday, January 6 from 4-7 PM with a Rosary at 5 PM at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, January 7 at 11 AM at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 2700 Baldwin St, Jenison with visitation one hour prior to Mass. Rev. 1. Dear Fred ,
What precious memories we have from our past years with our friendship with you and Peggy.! Tom and our son, Steve have been close through many years of their life journeys and I know will continue to be in years to come. Friendship is a special gift for which we are so grateful.

Peggy was a joy to know, and we will all miss her friendliness and beautiful spirit. May God give each of you the peace and strength needed to give her back to Him during these difficult days.

  2. Dear Fred and Family:

When our family heard that Peg had passed, my wife Nancy brought a smile to my face and all our family. She said Peg is now laughing and partying with the Papa girls – Marie, Grace, Rose, Catherine, Josephine, and Carmella. That is so easy to see!

    We love you all.

    Tom and Nancy Occhipinti
