Norman Lester Olthof, age 95 of Lowell, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy as well as his brother and two sisters. He is survived by brother-in-law Robert Rensland (Wyoming, MI). He will be lovingly remembered by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Norman served in World War II as a runway medic for the Flying Tigers and later cared for many at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans as a nurse. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially on his farm in Alto. Funeral services will be Friday, October 25 at 1:00 p.m. at Roth-Gerst Funeral Home, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell. Rev. Rick Blunt of the First United Methodist Church of Lowell officiating. Interment Bowne Center Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
