Norbert F. Oshinski

Norbert F. Oshinski, age 91, of Alto, Michigan passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Julia Oshinski; sisters Dorothy Oshinski, Barbara Despres; brother Charles (Mary) Oshinski; brother and sister-in-law Dorothy and Laurence Luxford; parents-in-law Casimir and Josephine Witczak. He will be missed by his wife of 67 years, Constance; children David (Peggy) Oshinski, Mark (Phyllis) Oshinski, Peter (Francisco) Oshinski, Paula (Thomson) Slopsema, Janice Oshinski, and Alan Oshinski; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; brother-in-law Bernard Despres; also many nieces and nephews. Norb worked for General Motors for over 38 years. He loved reading and enjoyed woodworking. He had a passion for building houses as he designed and built nine of their family homes. The family would like to thank the staff of Clark Retirement Home for their wonderful support and care to Norbert and his family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saturday, December 30, 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 9669 Kraft Ave. S.E., Caledonia. Rev. Rock Badgerow presiding. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Holy Family Christian Services.
