Nancy Timmer, 85 of Grand Rapids went home to her Lord and Savior Saturday February 4, 2017. She was born in Grand Rapids, graduated from Ottawa Hills in 1949 and enrolled and earned her RN from Butterworth School of Nursing in 1952. She made a career helping people, working many years at Kent Oaks Hospital. She is survived by her children Rick Amann (Terri), Bob Amann (Cathy), and Jim Amann ( Rene). She was Grandma to Ben Amann (Brittan), Mike Amann (Kelly), and Emily Jones (Adam) and Great Grandma to eight young ones. Nancy was many things, but most importantly she was a Christian woman who positively burned with a consuming passion for her Lord Jesus. She was the very definition of a prayer warrior. Her mission was to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with anyone who would listen. She cared deeply both for people, and her Nation. Although she will be deeply missed, we take comfort in knowing she was welcomed home with the words, “Well done good and faithful servant.” Visitation will be Wednesday, February 15, 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids. Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 16, 11:00 a.m. at Ada Christian Reformed Church, 7152 Bradfield St SE, Ada. Pastor Scott Van Voorst officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Holland Home, 2100 Raybrook S.E., Suite 300, Grand Rapids, MI 49546-5783.
