After a blessed life with family and friends Myra Reininger went to be with the love of her life Don and her Lord and Savior Thursday evening. Myra touched so many lives with her warm outgoing personality. A dedicated, energetic mother, Myra’s family and friends were her highest priority; her love and devotion to them were boundless. She will be missed immeasurably by so many people. Her life was truly a celebration of the Lord’s endless blessings. She was born in Birmingham, AL and attended Ensly High School, then she moved to Grand Rapids after meeting her Husband and best friend Don. She raised two wonderful children with love and such a welcoming personality. She was also a second mother to many of their friends throughout the years. She then retired to Seabrook Island, SC where she enjoyed an endless number of activities including golf, tennis, bridge and walks on the beach with her constant companions Putter and Divot. She was a great cook and took so much joy in often sharing good food and good times with family and friends as a loving, tireless hostess at her “beach” house on the island. She is survived by her children Scott (Cheryl), and Kelly and her grandchildren Alexis and Devon. Her bothers in law Tom (Robin) Reininger, Rich (Terry) Reininger, Bob (Ronna) Reininger and sister Joan Mc Guire. Visitation Thursday 6-8:00 p.m. and Friday 3-5:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Road, Grand Rapids. Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 12 details will be given in Tuesday’s edition of the press.
