Michael Patrick Keenan

Michael Patrick Keenan, age 93, of Ada, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy; son Roderick; a sister and 8 brothers. He is survived by his wife Marcy McUmber-Keenan; children Patrick (Vicki) Keenan, Colleen Keenan, Erin (Mark) Kalbli; step-children Rick (Melanie Folstad) McUmber, Brenda Fischvogt, Derek McUmber, Patrick (Selina) McUmber. sisters Rosemarie Wesholski, Kathleen Sullivan; grandchildren Michelle (Daron) Scholet, Ryan Paul, Sarah (Kevin) Blake; great grandchildren Lexie (Joe) Howlett, Makennah, Olivia, Hannah; great great grandchildren Kassidy, Kasen; also many beloved step-grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mike was an Aviation Electrician during WWII in the South Pacific and a retired plant operator for the City of Grand Rapids Water Department. He loved dancing, sailing, and traveling. Mike was a Graduate of Catholic Central (’43) and an Alumnus of Michigan State University. Visitation will be Sunday 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 11:00 a.m. at St. Robert of Newminster Church, 6477 Ada Dr. S.E., Ada. Rev. Leonard Sudlik presiding.
