Maxine Helen Despres

Maxine Helen (Menardie ) Despres, age 92 passed away very peacefully with her family at her side on Wednesday, October 23, 2019.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her parents Henry and Helen Menardie and her brother Patrick Menardie.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children Paulette (Robert) Krebill and Michael (Christine) Despres; her grandchildren Blake Krebill, Lindsey Krebill and Wes Allen; her sister Joyce (Gerald) Holcomb; her sister in law, Judy Menardie; sister in law Blanch (Jerry) Krenselewski; her brother in law Bernard Despres; and a large extended Despres family.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1951 Plymouth Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506, Rev. Troy Nevins presiding.   The family will receive visitors Friday 7 to 9 PM at the O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Road SE, where a Spiritual Rosary will be prayed at 8:30 PM.

    I’m so very sorry for your loss. I will never ever forget all the Friday nights in 4th grade when you and she and your brother would pick me up to go out to dinner. She was always so kind and gentle. May she Rest In Peace.
