With his hand being held and his head being stroked, Mauro Florentine of Grand Rapids, died peacefully on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 94 years old. He is now dancing in Heaven with his wife of 69 years, Concetta, who preceded him in death by 18 months; dancing with her is so much better than missing her. He was a great man, a great father, a great grandfather, a great uncle, and a great friend. His memory was amazing, his sense of humor was legendary, and his smile warmed your heart. Watching Michigan football and sipping Glenlivet won’t be the same without him. He will be missed tremendously by those he leaves behind including his son Michael, his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brother and sisters-in-law, and many dear friends. He is also survived by his son Mauro. A Mass and celebration of Mauro’s life will take place at Clark Home at a later date. Contributions in Mauro’s name can be made to Clark Retirement Community Foundation, 1551 Franklin St. S.E., Grand Rapids, MI 49506.
