Mary Frances Richard, age 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 10, 2020 at Abilene Place in Abilene, Kansas. She was born at home in Bureau County, Illinois on July 23,1929. Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Bill. They lived most of their life together in Lowell, where it always felt like home to her. Many will remember Mary from the 40 years she worked for Lowell Area Schools. She enjoyed many pastimes over the years, especially visiting with friends, playing the piano, bowling, sewing and jigsaw puzzles. After her family, her church activities were dearest to her heart. Mary is survived by her son, Roy Richard of Lowell; daughter, Shelley (Alan) Carroll of Abilene, KS; sister, Madelyn Olson of Madison, WI; brother, Ivan (Lois) Dremann of Ohio, IL; 4 granddaughters; Sarah Cooper in Ohio, Merribeth Richard, Emily Richard, and Molly (Derrick) Delnick in the Lowell Area and 2 granddaughters in Kansas; 17 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 15th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Roth-Gerst Chapel, 305 N. Hudson St. Lowell. We will be following the Michigan Covid restrictions at the visitation. Private funeral services will be held by the family. Memorial contributions may be made to The Gideons International, P.O.
