Marvin Richard Chauvin

Marvin Richard Chauvin, age 77 of Ada, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jane Murphy. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Shirley; children, Michelle (Mark) Petz, Lynn (Larry Stuewe) Chauvin, Jim (Gail) Chauvin, Lisa (Tim) Cotter, Bob Chauvin, Jim (Maryann) Trout, Tom (Sue) Trout; brother, Jerry (Barbara) Chauvin; brother-in-law, Jack Murphy; grandchildren, Dawn (Adam) Haase, Josh McLenithan, Ezra Chauvin, Jack Chauvin, Emma and Sara Cotter, Aidan Petz, Sophia, BettyJo, Ethan, Shamus and Oscar Trout; great grandchildren, Jonathon and Addison Haase. Marv graduated from MSU, worked in broadcasting for 50 years including WOODTV8 and WLNY in Long Island, NY. He loved Tigers baseball, Detroit Lions and the MSU Spartans. He was an avid golfer shooting 3 “hole-in-ones” and was a member at Blythefield Country Club. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday 11:00 a.m. at St. Roberts of Newminster, 6477 Ada Dr. Rev. Leonard Sudlik presiding. Visitation Sunday 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Road, Grand Rapids.
