Margaret F. “Maggie” Bott

Margaret F. “Maggie” Bott, aged 102, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 18, 2019.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Konkle; sisters, Helen Jane Helmey and Marian Rohloff.  She is survived by her children, Thomas A. (Dixie) Bott II and Timothy J. (Nancy) Bott; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; six nieces and nephews and 40 great-nieces and –nephews; as well as special caregiver and longtime friend, Teresa Rohloff.  Maggie was a former president of the Ladies Literary Club, a Civic Theater member and longtime contributor of the Grand Rapids Symphony.  She was a 1933 graduate of South High School and a reading volunteer at Congress School.  Cremation has taken place.  Arrangements are being made by the family for a memorial this spring.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Maggie’s name to Hospice of Michigan, Donation Processing Center, 989 Spaulding, SE, Ada, MI 49301.
