Lori LaPointe, age 55, of Kentwood, passed away March 6, 2017 after over two years of living with ALS. She was born March 7, 1961 to Charles and Phyllis Tuttle of Parkman, Maine. She graduated from Piscataquis Community High School in 1979 and enjoyed a 30 year career with Guilford of Maine / True Textiles in both the Guilford, Maine and Grand Rapids, Michigan offices. Lori is survived by her husband of 23 years, Tim; a daughter Deidra and grandson, Tommy; a stepdaughter Megan and grandchildren, Kyra-Love, Jacob and Chy-Leigh; her father, Charles Tuttle; mother-in-law, Rachael LaPointe; siblings Eric Tuttle, Elaine Draper, Darlene Edgerly, and Belinda Rogers; several nieces and nephews; special, beloved cousins; and many friends who have become family. She was predeceased by her mother, Phyllis Patterson Tuttle and father-in-law, Ansel LaPointe. The family would like to express their thanks to the Spectrum ALS Clinic, the Mercy ALS Clinic, Faith Hospice, Helpers of Holland Homes, and the staff of Trillium Woods for their care and support throughout their journey with ALS. Funeral services will be held at a later date in Maine. Contributions may be made to the Susan Mast ALS Foundation (susanmastals.org) to promote their efforts in providing quality care and support for persons living with ALS and their families, a cause very close to her heart.
