FASE – Leonard Fase Sr., age 93 of Ada died February 18 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Etta (Doan) Fase; his wife of over 40 years Virginia Irene (Swinehart); sons Leonard Jr. and Keith; two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his children Richard (Amalie), Sandra (Phil Graves), Sharon and Roger; three sisters; two brothers (their spouses); grand and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Dad worked at General Motors for 42 years retiring in 1979. He received his private pilot’s license at the age of 45 and enjoyed many years of flying. He enjoyed fishing hunting and digging for clams in the Grand River. His great love was his land especially during the summer sitting on a hill taking in the warm sun and watching all of nature. The family wishes to give a special thanks to Judy Ruth and Pam from Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods. We wish to express our deepest appreciation to brother Roger for his two years of selfless devotion in the care of our father. Funeral services will be at the Roth-Gerst Chapel 305 N. Hudson Dr. Roger LaWarre of First Congregational Church of Lowell officiating. Interment Cascade Cemetery. Visitation 6 to 8 p.m. and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods 2100 Raybrook SE Grand Rapids MI 49546.
