MATTHEW, KRISTEN EMILY, age 33 of Grand Rapids, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 6, 2015. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Patricia S. Kinder; and uncle, Jeffery C. Matthew. She is survived by her parents, Jay and Barbie Matthew; brother, T.J. (Julie) Matthew; sister, Jennifer M. Glaser; nieces, Addie, and Bree Glaser; grandparents, Jack and Myrna Matthew, James W. Kinder Sr.; also many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Kristen was a 1999 graduate of Forest Hills Central and attended Western Michigan University. She was a cheerleader, on the ski team, and ran track. Kristen had a great love for her family, horses, and enjoyed going up north, especially boating on Torch Lake. Visitation will be held Saturday 12-2:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids.
