KENNETH GORDON VOS, age 62, a lifelong resident of Lowell, passed away Friday, March 20, 2015 after a long and courageous battle with A.L.S. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Larry Kelly. He is survived by his wife and soul mate of 37 years, Linda; the apple of his eye, daughter, Shannon (Chris) Goggins; son, Kristian Magro; parents, John and Barbara Vos; mother-in-law, Carrol Kelly, father-in-law, William (Twyla) Schmidt; sisters, Deborah (Jack) Young, Sandra (Andrew) Schutt; brother-in-law, Randy (Connie) Kelly; sisters-in-law, Dawn (Bill) Brown, Jennifer Schmidt; grandchildren, Ryan, and Halle Goggins, Austin, and Jackson Magro. Ken was a one of a kind, son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. A down-to-earth philosopher who enjoyed helping others. He was Vice President of Engineering at Viking Corporation in Hastings for 35 years. Spoiling his grandchildren brought him so much joy. He was a loyal fan of the Tigers, and Lions, and an avid card player. Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 28th at 1:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Lowell, 621 E. Main, Lowell. Rev. Ethel Steers officiating. The family will meet friends and relatives 12:30-1:00 p.m. at the church.
