K. Donald Fish

K. Donald Fish, age 78 of Grand Rapids, passed away Friday, November 29, 2013. He was preceded in death by his son Douglas. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Phyllis; children, Debra (Mike) Sypien, Patricia (Paul) Belden, Walter (Sandra) Fish; daughter-in-law, Jackie Fish; sisters, Joyce (Tom Perry) Boynton, Janice (Jim) Meinke; grandchildren, David, Shaun and Amber Giller, Kyle and Kaitlin Fish, Sandra Fish, Genevieve, Corcoran and Thomas Sypien, and 12 great grandchildren. Don was a 1954 graduate of Creston High School and attended Grand Rapids Junior College. He was a dedicated firefighter with Grand Rapids Township Fire Station #13 for 31 years, was a veteran of the US Army, and a proud donor of 21 gallons of blood. Funeral Service will be held Thursday 10:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 2740 Fuller Ave. NE, Grand Rapids, Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating. Visitation Wednesday 6-8:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Road, Grand Rapids. Memorial contributions may be made in support of the Faith Lutheran Church Choir.
