Joan Marie Bowen

BOWEN Joan Marie (Mick) Bowen of Saranac passed away peacefully at home January 15 2011 surrounded by her family. Joan was born December 23 1951 to Alton C. and Phyllis (Yeiter) Mick of Clarksville who preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 42 years Dennis G.; her children who she was a very loving mother to Tamara (Steven) Reeves of Ionia Dennis A. (Dianna) Bowen of Saranac Lisa (Tim) Sitzer of Lowell and two very special grandsons Steven Reeves and Alec Sitzer; brothers Ron Mick of Sand Lake Steve (Barb) Mick of Lake Tahoe Phillip Mick of Clarksville; nephews Steven Mick of Lake Tahoe and Alton Mick of Ionia. Joan was a very private person who struggled with medical issues most of her adult life. She took great pride in the fact that she was able to be a stay at home mother who always greeted her children and grandchildren with a big smile and a warm heart. She enjoyed events involving her children and grandchildren vacations with her family and her glass clown collection. Her family wishes to thank the staff at Spectrum Butterworth Spectrum Special Care and Spectrum Health Hospice who are very special people and we love you all. Funeral service will be at Roth-Gerst Chapel 305 N. Hudson Lowell. Pastor Tim Bateman of Clarksville Bible Church officiating. Visitations will be 2-4:00 and 6-8:00 PM at Roth-Gerst Chapel.
