Joan L. Alflen

ALFLEN – Joan (Littell) L. Alflen age 79 of Cascade adored wife mother and grandmother church and community volunteer passed away October 3 2009. Missing her are her husband of 57 years Roger; her children Laurie Randall and Nancy; her sons-in-law Ron Tloczynski Dennis Carlson; daughter-in-law Teri Alflen; grandchildren Kurtis and Kyle Carlson. Also saddened by her passing are her sisters Jane Brown and Arlene Amacher; her brother and sister-in-law Gene and Fran Littell; sister-in-law Patricia Hansen brother-and sisters-in-law Dick and Helen Alflen and Gerald and Marlene Alflen; numerous nieces and nephews; and a multitude of loved and loving friends. Joan was a devoted and active member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Joans compassion and generous spirit guided her innumerable acts of individual kindness and community service. Joans family would like to thank Spectrum Health Hospice for their loving care of Joan. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church 1935 Plymouth SE Rev. Troy Nevins presiding. Entombment Graceland Memorial Park. Vigil service at 7:30 PM. Visitation 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the OBrien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel 3980 Cascade Rd. SE. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Charity of Ones Choice.
