Jerry Lee Adams, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2023. He was born February 25, 1948, to Jack and Ardis (Reynolds) Adams of Grand Ledge MI. He married the love of his life Susan C Ward on December 4, 1965.

Jerry was a singer/entertainer for most of his life starting in Middle school and most notably as a member of the band Alive and Well and the Adams Family Band. He was also a painting contractor.

His passions were his family, music, fishing, and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife Susan and children Jerry Jr (Deb), Brian (Gail), and Aaron (Jody), Sisters Barb Meyers, and Cindy (Dale) Kropf, brother Randy Adams, several “brothers and sisters” of his wife, ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Roth-Gerst Chapel, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell, Michigan 49331. Funeral services be Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 1pm with visitation one hour prior. Rev Shannon Jammal-Hollemans officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations made toward the expenses would be appreciated.

  3. A wonderful man, musician and “older” friend & mentor. He obviously loved and lived a life full of meaning and lasting legacy… 21 direct descendants!

    He will be missed, and remembered.

  11. I am so thankful to have known Jerry for pretty much my entire life! My late wife (Dee) used to say Jerry’s voice can melt steel. What a talent he shared with the world. If ever there was a good man , Jerry was it! I have been sitting here in Tx remembering all the golf we played! I will cherish those memories for the rest of my life!

    To all the Adams family and the Ward family, know that you are all in my thoughts and I pray that you can find peace in knowing he is in a better place (although I think he would rather be here) and pain-free!

  13. God’s choir will be even richer with Jerry’s beautiful voice joining in. We have all been truly blessed by his presence in our lives. He will be sadly missed and forever loved. We will speak his name and keep his memory alive all the days of our lives. My heart cries for his family.

  16. my memories of Jerry are nothing but the best that anyone could have. we did not see much of each other in the past several years but our years of growing up are the best. my memories of him and me sitting on river bank fishing with our pole in one hand and a brick of chew in the other and telling stories are life lasting. no one could ever find a better and kinder friend. he will be deeply missed.

  17. I have been a “groupie” of the Adams Family Band for the last 12 years & I feel like I know you all personally & I am truly heartbroken! Jerry was blessed by God with his extreme talent & will be so missed. Our love & prayers for all of Jerry’s family & friends.

  21. Oh my goodness I just found out. I am so sorry. I have known the family all my life. Starting out with his Father and the Roller Rink and him being my bus driver and Alive and Well played at my cousins wedding when I was a little girl. I was that little girl dancing all night long. I went to school with Brian and enjoying his singing. Then listen to Adam’s Family every summer. What a talent! I enjoyed listening so much. Sending my Sympathies.

  23. So sorry to hear of Jerry’s passing, we had become some of the Adam’s family groupies also. We always enjoyed them at the Fallasburg park festival. Prayers for the family…
