James R. Culbertson

CULBERTSON – James R. Culbertson aged 57 of Alto passed away January 29 2009. Jim was a beloved husband father grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife of 32 years Kim; daughters Emily Culbertson and Kayne (Aaron) Culbertson-Deur; granddaughters Maddie and Evelyn; parents Richard and Edna Culbertson of Jenison; sister Gail (Tom) Syrek and niece Kelsey Syrek; mother-in-law Winifred Killingbeck; also nieces nephews and so many dear friends. Jim was Georgetown Townships First Eagle Scout at age 13 and a graduate of Grandville High School. He was an Air Force medic during Vietnam a life member of the American Mountain Men and worked for over 30 years at G.M. before his retirement. Visitation will be 1-4 PM at the Roth-Gerst Chapel 305 N. Hudson Lowell. Graveside services will be held at a later date at Bowne Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bowne Township/Alto Fire Department or Bowne Township Historical Society.
