James Michael Hilbert

James Michael Hilbert, age 77, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Spectrum Health Hospital. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, LaVerna Hilbert. He is survived by his wife, Jerri Warner Hilbert; father, Frederic Hilbert; brothers, Kenneth (Jane), Scott (Kathy), John; and several nieces and nephews. Mike graduated from Wayland High School and Western Michigan University. He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed UofM football games and watching Tiger Woods play golf. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions in memory of Mike be made to American Cancer Society, 129 Jefferson Ave. S.E., Grand Rapids, MI 49503. A memorial service is being planned for the spring and will be announced at a later date.
