Gertrude Huizing

Gertrude Huizing, age 96, lifelong resident of Ada, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, July 5, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Eugene in 2006 and 12 siblings. She is survived by her children, Barbara (Donn) DenBoer, Gene (Gloria) Huizing; grandchildren, Diedre (Kreigh) Deering, Lindsey (Bill) Riley, Kelly Huizing, Jessica Huizing; great grandchildren, Drake Deering, Aurora Riley, Dylan Deering & Ethan Riley; also many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at The Community Church of Ada, 7239 Thornapple River Dr., Ada. Rev. Mara Joy Norden and Rev. Billy Norden officiating. Interment Ada Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 6-8:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial Contributions may be made to The Community Church of Ada, Building Fund.
