Gerrit J. Elenbaas Gary

Gerrit “Gary” J. Elenbaas, age 82 of Grattan Township, passed away from natural causes Monday, February 5, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan; brothers Fred Elenbaas, Don Elenbaas, Rich Elenbaas; and sisters-in-law Avis Elenbaas and Cora Elenbaas. He is survived by his children, Ed (Rita) Elenbaas, Don (Kim) Elenbaas, Sally (Tom) Gehrett; brothers Howard Elenbaas, Norm (Pam) Elenbaas; sister Marjorie Price; grandchildren Andy, Barb, Mike (Fay), Sam, Jessica (Chris); and 11 great-grandchildren. Gerrit loved spending time with his family. He worked construction until he retired, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 8, 5-7:00 p.m. at Roth-Gerst Chapel, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell, MI 49331. Funeral service will be held Friday, February 9, 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
