George Emerson Metternick

METTERNICK – George Emerson Metternick aged 83 of Alto passed away May 7 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Marjorie Metternick; son-in-law John Cepaitis; and his parents Joseph and Kate Metternick. He is survived by his children Marcia Cepaitis Julie (Rick) Andrews Jack (Shirley) Metternick Mike (Sheila) Metternick; 16 grandchildren seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews; George was a WWII Veteran where he served in the U.S. Navy. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Roth-Gerst Funeral Home 305 N. Hudson St. Lowell. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to Saturday’s service from 12 to 1 p.m. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Alto Volunteer Fire Department and Alto Lions Club.
