Frederick C. Herbst Sr.

HERBST Frederick C. Herbst Sr., age 71 passed away February 2 2011. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Ginny; sons Fred Jr., Scott (John Ignoffo), and Brian (Lisa); grandchildren Ryan Megan Jason and Rachel; several nieces and nephews. Fred enjoyed pheasant and deer hunting a good round of golf and playing cards. He loved the Red Wings and Michigan Wolverines Football. Fred retired after 35 years with AAA and has been with Greenridge Realty for the past 15 years. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated February 5 2011 at St. Alphonsus Church 224 Carrier St. NE with Rev. Dennis Ryan presiding. Rosary will be prayed February 4 2011 at 7 PM. Visitation will be from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at the OBrien-Eggebeen-Gerst Funeral Home 3980 Cascade Rd SE. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
