Elizabeth Louise (Steed) Osmolinski, known as Bette, age 90, of Grand Rapids was called to her heavenly home on Monday, April 20, 2020. She is the daughter of Fredrick and Rosalie Steed of Grand Rapids, MI.  Bette is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Stanley C. Osmolinski. She is survived by her sister Esther Bulthuis and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her children Stan “Bud” (Deb) Osmolinski Jr., Kathy (Gordy) Osmun, Gary (Jamie) Osmolinski, Sharon (Brad) Webb. She was the proud grandmother of Lisa (Michael) Wright, Keith (Andrea) Osmun, Brandon (Kendra) Webb, Kristin (Kresten) Green, Chip (Melissa) Osmolinski, Brent (Leslie) Webb, Melissa (Prasanth) Pillai, Katelyn (Ross) Heneveld, Mya Osmolinski, Allen Ellithorpe and Ann-Marie (Brett) VanHuelen. Bette loved her family deeply, especially her precious eighteen great-grandchildren. Her love for the little ones included her time as a “Story Hour” leader where she was a longtime member of Ada Christian Reformed Church. She loved her God and passed her faith on to her family. Our mom certainly lived a very full life that was filled with many holidays and family events together. She cherished her time at her cottage in Croton where she loved to read on her deck. She enjoyed traveling either with her kids or on one of her many bus trips. Due to Covid-19 a private graveside service will be held for the immediate family on Friday, April 24. The family would like to thank the staff and the many special friends she made at Heron Manor. In lieu of flowers, please drink a Diet Coke, cup of coffee or a Piña Colada in memory of her.

  4. My sincere sympathy to you, Bette’s family. She was a long-time friend who always had a smile – even when times were rough. I did not get to visit her as frequently as desired, but she will be fondly remembered for her friendship and faith in God. Blessings to each of you. Esther, Ada CRC
