Doris June Roth, age 88 of Lowell, just shy of her 89th birthday, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 8th with her family at her side. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Edwin Christian Roth, whom she married on May 25, 1946; children Steven (Barbara) Roth, Jeanne (Glenn) Vandersloot, Nancy (Michael) Moore; grandchildren Aaron (Barbara) Roth, Aletha (John) VanValkenburg, Ryan (Renae) Roth, Kyle Roth, Trenton (Jessica) Roth, Nicholas (Melissa) Vandersloot, Nathan (Beth) Moore and Brett (Melanie) Moore; 18 great-grandchildren; sister Phyllis Petersen; brother-in-law Walter Roth; and sister-in-law June Roth. Doris was born in Remus, Michigan, where she grew up on a farm. Upon high school graduation, she moved to Grand Rapids to find work. Edwin and Doris met at the Ramona Park Skating Rink, married and worked together dairy farming until retirement and then traveled the world extensively. Doris loved finding family genealogy, collecting rocks, gardening and family time. Funeral services will be held Monday 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Lowell, 621 E. Main Street. Pastor Brad Brillhart officiating. Visitation Sunday at Roth-Gerst Chapel, 305 N.
